“The Last Mimsy”…hmm…what can I say? Well it’s obvious that kids are too stupid to handle a story-line…or at least that’s what the movie makers think anyway.

This move had a very good base plot, but rather than develop it they just made sparklies….

so pretty…yayyyyyyyyyy

If you distract your target audience with purdies then you don’t have to pay extra money for good writers.

“Bridge to Teribithia” is not a good movie. I can see how a 7 year old might like it, but it seemed like they couldn’t decide what to make this movie about. It’s like they took a bucket of plot and just threw it up against a boring wall and called it a movie…

I probably spelled that wrong, but whatever.

This was a pretty decent movie. Parts of it weren’t very believable, but it’s a movie so who cares. Movie was well-made with good acting. In fact, the only problem I had with the movie wasn’t really a problem with the movie at all.

NOTE TO MORONS: WATCHING GORY MOVIES ABOUT ANCIENT MAYAN CIVILIZATIONS IN WHICH COUNTLESS PEOPLE ARE PILLAGED AND SLAUGHTERED IS *NOT* I REPEAT *NOT NOT NOT NOT* THE IDEAL EVENING SPENT WITH YOUR FIVE YEAR OLD CHILD. THIS SHOULD BE EVEN MORE EVIDENT BY THE FACT THAT HE IS CONSTANTLY SCREAMING IN TERROR, COVERING HIS FACE, AND TRYING TO CRAWL UNDER YOUR SEAT…YOU IDIOT…

While leaving the theater I sarcastically asked Mr. Melbell if one day when we have kids we can take them to see completely age-inappropriate films. He then explained to me the social significance and importance of your child seeing the heart cut out of a living being painted blue for a ritual and then having his head lopped off to roll down a huge pyramid toward a thousand cheering fans. Apparently childhood cannot be truly experienced without this…no wonder I turned out so normal and anti-homicidal.

But let me finish by saying again, this was a good movie. It’s unfortunate that I had trouble enjoying it due to the screaming toddler who just wasn’t quite ready to witness his first slaughter.

oh my gosh. Please save yourself the headache of seeing this movie.

I hereby change the name of this movie from “The Fountain” to “Wolverine’s Face”.

Note to Hugh Jackman…hair is your friend…
